Program Overview

Sisterhood Rx has developed a healthy, sensible medical weight loss program incorporating realistic lifestyle changes in the way you eat. We don’t follow the very low calorie approach. Our goal is to help you make changes that will easily fit in with your current life and allow you to be as active as you want.  Exercise is encouraged!

We will provide a comprehensive approach to your weight loss including nutritional education, prescription medications, monthly detailed body composition reports, strategies for achieving and maintaining healthy weight and provide continued support all in a relaxed and caring environment.

Our hope is to make this journey fun and rewarding while making life changes that will become a permanent part of your new healthy lifestyle.

What to expect

The program goal is to safely help the body utilize stored fat as energy while in a calorie deficit.  Proper nutrition, exercise, and prescription medications are used together to help make this a healthy experience with plenty of energy and calories to get you through your day. A steady 8-12 pounds of healthy weight loss a month is the average depending on medical history, activity, and proper calorie counting. The focus is to stay on top of your changing body and help identify what works best for you.

Cost

The first visit is $200 including medications for the first month.  During this hour long visit you will be introduced to the program by the nurse practitioner. You will discuss lifestyle and medical history, nutrition, program details, your weight loss goals, take measurements and a detailed body composition and receive your first month supply of medications. Follow-ups are monthly and are $130 including medications. Together we will evaluate how well you are responding to the program and make any necessary changes. Prices can change as more or less medications are needed.
